Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 20 February 2026

QR codes hide their destination until scanned, so we take misuse seriously. These rules apply to every code, link and upload made through BarcodeQRHub.

Prohibited content and destinations

  • Phishing, credential harvesting, or pages impersonating a bank, brand or public body.
  • Malware, drive-by downloads, exploit kits or unwanted software.
  • Fraudulent payment requests, including fake parking, delivery or donation codes.
  • Child sexual abuse material, or content that sexualises minors — reported to authorities.
  • Content inciting violence, terrorism or unlawful discrimination.
  • Material that infringes copyright, trademark or another person's privacy.
  • Unsolicited bulk marketing destinations, or links cloaked to evade filtering.

Technical rules

  • Do not circumvent plan limits or create multiple accounts to do so.
  • Do not scrape, load-test or attempt to disrupt the redirect service.
  • Do not resell raw access to our redirect infrastructure as your own link shortener.

Enforcement

Dynamic links that breach this policy are disabled immediately; scanning them shows a neutral "link unavailable" page rather than the destination. We may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or severe breaches, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

Reporting abuse

Email support@barcodeqrhub.com with the short link or a photo of the code. We review reports promptly and will confirm the outcome where you leave contact details. See also the Terms of Service.
